A Day of Wandering in Hoi An

We decided to have a day of exploring Hoi An and then head back to An Bang Beach to kick back and watch the world go by here on the South China Sea.

There is a motorbike rental shop down the street from our beach cottage. We rented a Yamaha 125cc motorbike for a day of adventuring.

We spent the better part of the day spontaneously choosing new and diverse routes through the town: down narrow streets in the fishing village...

... to the sea...

...where we saw the result of a failed seawall...

... over to the bustling market and shops

...a day of wandering.

The ancient Hoi An town is beautiful mostly at night when the shops light up their lanterns and they block the streets off to motorized vehicles.
We strolled through the streets and had a wonderful time but neither of us brought a camera. :(

An Bang Beach near Hoi An

We have arrived at our Homestay near Hoi An. This place is amazing! $45 a night and it's 45 steps from the beach (exactly).

The place is called An Bang Seaside Village Homestay and it was another recommendation from Gilliam at the Farmstay.

It's about 2.5 miles from town and we're tempted to just stay right here and enjoy the view!

The weather is perfect as is the company.    Couldn't ask for a better way to relax after that gnarly hike!
