After arriving at the airport in Split, Croatia, we Ubered to our AirBnb, which was smack in the middle of the old town and within the walls or Diocletians Palace.
The location was perfect, especially since we didn’t have a car for our time there. Staying right there in the Roman ruins was AWESOME!
The historic part of Split was very walkable and we downloaded a self guided audio tour from the internet that gave use context for what we were seeing.
We found a great place to get Cevapi sandwiches, which consists of these little sausages with some kind of paprika sauce called ajvar in a type of bread called Lepinja. It was TASTY!
We took a day trip to Hvar island which was a 20€ ferry ride each way.
Hvar was a neat little town (and HOT), but we got a late start so we didn’t have time to explore the entire thing.
There were outfits renting out scooters and bikes, but they wanted €40 a day and weren’t willing to pro-prate. It’s okay, we’ll be back someday!
